Fire truck ladder..... Tripping like a son of a bitch, scared they were going to check my ID and see I was 17

It was a type of place where when you pay/show ID at the door, all it is a set of stairs behind him that you walk up and the "club" is all upstairs. I'm guessing that was the only way in or out...

Anyone from the dirty dell remember a place called "Balcony Bar" burning to the ground maybe in the late 90's or so??

Miami is too one-dimensional, IMO.

I'd put NOLA ahead of Miami for that reason. Oh, and SF should be above NOLA.

I did acid a lot in high school, don't really have any want to do it in my mid 20s.

Why would you want to trip at a party? Tripping is best with a small group.

I live in SF. LOL @ 6 and 10. San Francisco has nothing open past 2 am and is just a horrendously bad place to go out. And Palo Alto? I have to wonder whether you've ever even been there at all. I'd rather go out in Oakland than PA.

I've never lived in either of the two, but when I have been out in those two cities I have had a lot of fun. PA has ridiculous clubs also, starting to wonder if you have ever been out there...

Are these ridiculous clubs on University Avenue in Palo Alto? If so, then your list is a joke. Rudy's, Patio, Old Pro, and NOLA are hardly top-tier spots.

the best answer to this question would be a slew of posters convincing us that it never burned down....or never even existed in the first place

San Francisco should be up in there. I lived there 5 years and they had lots of great stuff going on. The trick is the after hours parties and clubs as well. But basically, every night there was fun to be had. I miss SF, a smaller city with a lot to do. I just wish the weather was better.

I've lived in NOLA, SF, L.A., and currently Oahu. I enjoyed SF night life the most. Although I'm getting older so I don't hit up the night life here as much but Waikiki is pretty happening.

Nashville is pretty awesome too. They have a great music scene. And not in the honky tonk Broadway music way.

I was about to post this. Big lack of respect in this thread for Nashville.

Sounds like someone doesn't get invited to after hours parties. And until 2am, there's plenty to do. What the hell are you even talking about?
