It was nicer when her dad could let them play by the lake while he got tanked across the street. It just wasn't considered trashy back then.

Mandeville is far from being a shitehole. Come on man, just drive around and notice the drastic difference between south shore and north shore (not Slidell).

I prefer Covington. There are good bars downtown. I found Barley Oak boring.
