The bees will leave soon. It's not a good spot for them. The queen is just acting up.

Likely just swarming to find a new hive location.

to check to see if this is the case you hit the swarm with a stick... in the attack, they are not swarming,,

Their previous hive was strong enough to allow half the colony to split off in order to start another. They fill up with honey, then head out in search of a new spot. If you can find the queen and get her into an ice chest, the rest of them will follow her in there and you can close the lid. You'll want a beekeeper suit.

They (bees) do that almost every year in my yard, and they move on after a couple of hours.

We had a swarm in the back yard one morning last year. They moved on later in the day. Just make sure your attic, workshop, etc are not inviting locations for them to set up shop permanently.

Update....


Queen and most bees are gone.. Thanks to the guy who emailed me the guy in new Orleans.. He knew someone in baton Rouge and they came out to get them for free because there wasn't any work to be done.. Thanks again!
