Either I have been in a coma for the last decade, or just not paying attention. But yesterday I walked 3 blocks downtown and counted no less than 20 guys with beards, almost all under the age of 30.

At what point did we go from "shave everywhere" to a celebration of facial hair? And how many of these guys actually shave everywhere but their face?

And btw, most of these beards were wearing skinny pants.

I get style, I understand how fashion works. But the fashion czars have run out of new ideas. There is no way women find you guys attractive.

I just want to say...

There's a difference between those guys and guys like me that just want to grow facial hair.

It's for me. It's something I wanted to do since I was a kid.

I'm not trying to be part of something.

At least half of Austin's male population under 30 looks like this.

The Levi's skinny jeans and the Levi's 514(slim straight) are the most comfortable pants I own. Also, skinny's or slim straight pants are the way to go these days. For example, slacks are just tacky imo. Even my suits are slim fit, with flat front pants. Fitted is what's hot in fashion right now.

no doubt, but there's a big difference between "slim" and "skinny," at least IMO.

Women don't find men that look like men and have manly attributes? Know how I know you're not a baw?

Before we go there the skinny jeans portion was an addendum and not the overall point, so it's not manly and no one would disagree with that

True. But it's a blurring line though, and most people can't tell the difference. They associate slim fitting with skinny and just lump it all in one group. With my athletic build, my 501 jeans fit like skinny's around my thighs and like slim jeans on my lower leg. Levi's did just come out with an athletic fit, 541's recently. I need to buy a pair. Slim straight leg with a larger thigh opening. I just don't want to buy my Levi's collection all over again

Phuck that. I need room for my balls. I think I have maybe one or two pairs of jeans, but I never wear them out in public. I wear them around the farm. They are just the original Levi's 501's with the button fly. Khakis are far more comfortable though.

One might do that if they were riding a bike.

Probably started when one hipster correctly rolled his pants up while biking but then another hipster emulatred the look leading to an outbreak of copycats. I imagine that's how all these fads get started. We just have to take out the "source," the hipster from which all fagness is emulated.
