Found this 7 yr.old post below. This guy is claiming he's Rogie Magee former LSU football player is at least consistent, Used exact same line on me today. Almost word for word. Caught me in a moment of weakness. Should be in sales he was pretty good. But I guess he has been working the same story for a long time.

He was by lsu claiming he lost his job and needed some money to get a hotel. He said he was waiting for Coach Stoval to get in town to help him out.

He kind of used the flood angle with family in hotel. I'm in sales too but he had his story down . Like I said I didn't know he had been working on it since 2009.

By the way I just got a big check from a long lost relative from Mumbai. So didn't mind sharing a little with a former Tiger . Figured he soon could be a new assistant coach

The flood angle disgusts me. People needed real help after it, and scammers ripped away money that could have done good. Happened after Katrina, too.

Literally the same day that the lady with the broke key gave me her spill I saw that in here.

The first words out of her mouth were "you're not a perv are you"?

But hard to get help from a coach who isn't alive, Arnsparger died in 2015.

Doubt Jerry Stovall would be coming to give money to a guy he barely recruited 36 years ago. Pretty dumb to fall for that line.

Pretty dumb to help someone down on his luck. I'm guessing Coach Brown would help out any basketball player whether he coached them or not. Maybe I helped him by a better type of bourbon tonight. It's that Christmas spirit

Coach Brown left DeWayne Scales living in a Whirlpool box in Dallas. Coaches can't help every former player, especially not ones that never played a minute for them .. just saying'.. besides, you're the one that called this a scammer, right ?

More putting it out there if someone knows Rogie Magee he might like to know someone is using his name. Unless it was really him. He did have an LSU hat on.
