Pope Paul was the pope of my childhood - we always had his picture hanging in our house. i still remember when he died- story splashed across the Chicago Tribune headlines.

I think that the Papal Conclave yielded more to the power of intimidation and bribery than the Holy Spirit in Alexander's case (as well as Julius II and many others), but I see your point.
