BCS is shut down West bound due to an accident with possible fatalities at Exit 210. Take 90 if your headed of NOLA.

Been stuck for 30 minutes now.

ETA:

I-10 westbound closed on Spillway bridge due to accident

quote:

Westbound Interstate 10 was closed Friday morning (Sept. 1) on the Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge due to an accident.

The closure was at mile post 214. Traffic cameras showed that a car appeared to have overturned, and a helicopter had landed on the interstate, possibly to airlift an injured person to a hospital.

Congestion had reached three miles long shortly before 11 a.m.

It amazes me how many accidents happen on there. It's literally just a straight road with no cars entering or exiting for 10 miles

I wrote possible.

And no, I don't laugh at fatalities.

The beer thing may have been a bad joke. My bad but I got two screaming kids and dogs barking so it's a fun time right now.

No worries. If it is a fatality, my heart goes out to those involved.

If I had to drive that bridge daily I would just bring my fishing rod and tackle box. Just seems like there is a wreck almost daily and traffic is backed up for miles and nowhere to go. Just go ahead and start casting and see what you can catch while you sit there.

I wish I had a rod and reel.

I took all the stuff not needed for tailgating out of my camper.

Bad move.
