I've recently made a couple of friends from North Carolina who moved to Baton Rouge about a year ago- they're alright except they always yap about how they hate Baton Rouge water. They are a couple and the girlfriend, who's kind of a big SJW ditz, declares frequently that Baton Rouge water is contaminated with pollution and toxic. They complain about it tasting bad. I usually just laugh it off and tell them they don't know what they're talking about, but I'll prob be seeing them this weekend and I'd like the OT to weigh on whether BR water is a quality drink or not.

I've lived in south Baton Rouge for nearly my whole life and I've neevr once thought the water tasted bad. My friends live in Downtown Baton Rouge off Spanishtown, is the water in that area not good or something?

Baton Rouge water is the best that I've ever tasted in the country.

Now NOLA water on the other hand...

They are idiots. The water is one of the few things Baton Rouge does right.

You sure they aren't drinking NOLA water?

BR water is from a aquifer, which means high quality. And more natural than many places which have to put a shite ton of chemicals in the water.

People in BR buying bottled water are retarded. Your friends from NC are the same. They must be addicted to bottled water or their own chemically enhanced water.

As shocking as it sounds Baton Rouge's water is some of the purest and best tasting water I've ever drank.

Your friends are idiots. Baton Rouge water is DEAD soft. That's tough for some people. But it's also some of the cleanest and best tasting water in the country. It isn't recycled river water. They won't have to worry about their pipes gumming up or installing a water softener. They are being picky. Tell them to go drink some New Orleans Miss river water and then let me know how BR water tastes.

BR water from the tap is way better than anywhere else I've lived. You need new friends.

DEAD soft.

I grew up on shallow well water, hard as nails. When I went to LSU I felt like the water wouldn't wash off soap or shampoo from my hair because it was so soft. Took some getting used to.

What do BR officials have to do with water being drawn from an aquifer?
