OT non-ballers-

I've never bought from any of the BR Toyota dealerships. Are they all the same or is one more willing to sell lower than the others? Any to avoid?

Read this Money Talk Board thread. I wish I did before I bought my new 2017 Tacoma

I purchased two Toyota's last December. One for my wife and the other for me. I wasn't able to get the 3 BR dealerships to offer pricing we were comfortable with. We ended up purchasing both vehicles in Houston. I was able to do all the negotiations over the phone and via email. Everything was ready to go once we arrived at the dealership in Houston.

I buy at Hampton in Lafayette because I have a hook up. If I didn't I would be going to TX.

Go to Ray Brandt Toyota in Metairie. They aren't scared to make a deal. In 2013, I bought a new fully loaded Tacoma with the limited package. The sticker price was 38K and I got it for 32K. They also gave 15K for my 07 Tacoma with 92K miles on it.

Check into Costco pricing as well. That may help you out too.

You need to be careful with that because once a dealer gets your name and number they will be hounding you relentlessly.

You think those tricks work on Tacomas? They'd just as soon you walk out, thatt truck'll be sold by lunch.

I'm putting my Tacoma on the market this week, sad day when it's sold.

I didn't have that problem last year when buying.

Was buying through Costco worth it? I'm curious.

I ended up not buying through them because I got a hook up at Hampton. I think the Costco price was a couple grand off sticker if I can remember correctly.

Totally befuddles me as to why Tacoma doesn't offer vinyl seating.

Traded mine in about two years ago. It was six years old and has 85,000 miles on it. I got 55% of the original price.

I bought a Tundra in July. I shopped at all Toyota dealerships in BR and they offered very little off and didn't give jack shite for my trade in (F160). I ended up going to Greg LeBlanc in Houma and got a great deal. $6000 off the sticker, they threw in the extended warranty, and offers much more for my trade in.

Wish I wouldn't have read that thread. Feel like I got ripped off now when I bought the extended warranty on my new 2014 F150. Thinking about calling on Monday and selling the warranty back to them if it makes financial sense

It's a Ford. You may want to keep that warranty.

Why you selling? What's the next purchase?

I bought a 2017 Tacoma last fall - after going to several different Toyota dealerships between BR and Nola I found the easiest and best finance deal was with Toyota of Slidell. My old man swears by Price Leblanc in BR though.
