Do you get the games in HD?
If so is it because you have a more recent box?

I am in NOLA but had the same issue with Cox years ago. Now with DirecTV and pretty much every game is in HD.

Only tv service I know of that doesn't have sports packages in HD but still charges the same price as other providers.

I used to get the MLB package with Cox about three years ago but dropped it because it wasn't offered in HD. I switched to the package offered by MLB.com. It is in HD and cheaper than Cox. Only catch is you have to stream it to your tv, but that's not that hard to do now a days.

Reason I'm asking is my son doesn't subscribe, but he watched the free trial Cox offered last week and he got the games in HD on 1671(instead of 671).
I can't but I subscribe.

That's a good question. MLB.tv is much cheaper and every game is in HD. Question is will Cox make a deal to keep subscribers from going MLB.tv instead ? $170.00 is too high when you can pay $110.00 and get it on 5 devices, all in HD.
