Very true, Scottsdale could never dream of being what Biloxi is.

Maybe some of the "not as nice" ones are great for someone looking to do a full restoration?? It's like Disneyworld for car guys out there. I'm sure they appreciate all types of classic cars.

If you are going to drive a car, a 60 or 70 car is just fine (older restoration or a drivable car with minor cosmetic or mechanical issues). These can still be acquired at a decent price. It is when you get into the higher grades that you have to spend some money (unless the car is rare).

For most cars, you don't want to be the restorer - you'll lose money. You see ads all the time that read "spent $70,000 on restoration" when the car is listed for sale at $35,000.

The guys that restore cars on TV are usually restoring high end cars and they are in the restoration business.

It's an ongoing joke between Paige and I. Some guy was asking for resort recommendations with desert/mountain views and Cork suggests Biloxi cause they have nice resorts too

Yeah when I had my 65 mustang my mom bought it already restored for cheap because someone traded in when she was selling cars. My friend's brother was restoring one and had already spent over 10k and wasn't finished

But I was referring to some 80s and 90s cars. like the 1980 or 1990 suburban

No love for Pebble Beach, then?

I remember watching B.Jackson as a teen and when I went to school on monday I was geeking to them about some of the stuff and they just stared at me goofily. Some of those cars are art.

I'm curious as to the Ferrari that you and Nurse talked about that went for 40k. Was it a crappy Mondial or what?

Older mustangs are great restoration candidates because you can find any part you need.

But then there are cars that look like they should be sold on Craigslist

a very minimal amount of cars. when youre selling thousands of cars, they cant all be $100k rides.

They auction off cars for 7 days. Earlier in the week they have cheaper cars and cater to the non rich people.

None of the cars going off on the weekend are things you would see on craigslist. Today most cars are going for 6 figures

We can't get in gates until 5 pm cause we bought the cheaper Twilight tickets. We live about 15-20 minutes away from Westworld...so maybe 4-4:30? Give us time to park(I'm assuming we will have to park far away and take shuttle bus there).
