Talk about the car that really started it all. The 1977 Honda Civic with only 17,000 miles. What I wouldn't do to put this rare piece of history in my garage.

The guy that used to buff my parents floors owned one of those. It was his weekend car that he would occasionally bring over with the buffer hanging out the trunk. She was gray though. What a sweet ride.

With 1,500 miles by only one previous owner, bulletproof extensive documentation and the recipient of outstanding care from day one, this Buick GNX is truly a rare find.

That car has been sold quite a few times and apparently no one has put more than 5 miles on it in as many years

The Ford GT took 1st, 3rd and 4th at last Le Man's. They now have them weighing the heaviest plus cut their boost to lowest levels in their class. The aero on those cars are just amazing.

Yea that is high with no documentation at all. Im assuming it was a 454?

I have a 69 SS 396 fully restored and I dont think I could get 55k for it.

(checking ebay)

I was at Barrett-Jackson with Jenna Jameson's ex-husband when he bought these two bad boys for just over $300K each. He sold one for over $400K a year or so later and she got the other one when they split, not sure what happened to it. We had bidder passes and were on the stage when later that day a Shelby Cobra sold for $5.5 million with owner Carroll Shelby up on stage. Good times.

I helped restore a 69 L88 exactly like that. Same color which was lemans blue. It came with a factory 4 speed transmission and a 3 2bbl (six pack) carb set up. It might be the same car, who knows... The one I helped restore was pulled out of the woods. It had been stolen twice. The second time it was stolen they stripped the intake manifold, carbs and wheels and left it in the woods.

If I recall there were either 1100 or 1500 made with that drive train/carb set up.

When youre auctioning off 2000 or so cars for 6 days, they cant all be Rolls Royces and Bentleys.

It all depends on if it has the numbers matching motor/trans. If it was all original except for paint and interior, I could see getting 50k for it.

There aren't many weekend events more enjoyable than classic car shows IMO, particularly if you have someone that knows what the hell they're looking at (not me).

Imagine the feeling of going to one knowing you have enough cheddar to buy every vehicle there like its nothing.

Its not. Im pretty sure the motor is from a 1970. My dad let a guy put his original engine in a Nova for a little while and never got it back. Besides that, the car is great. I dont plan on selling it anyway. It was my dads first car and he never got rid of it. Luckily, my older brother doesnt care for cars so he told my dad no when he offered to restore it and give it to him

Same here, but I would have to get rid of mine before I brought another one home. Maybe at the same time?

It really is ridiculous and it shows in the crowd. Lots of eye candy looking to meet a rish guy and all of the higher end N. Scottsdale bars & restaurant are inundated with hookers coming to town to get the hands on some of that $. The auction has really turned into quite the social event and the place to be scene in the past 10 years. A friend of a friend know a guy who has car dealerships in Green Bay and North Dakota who comes every year and gets us All-Access passes. This guy was walking around last year wearing an Eddie Lacy jersey at the auction and you would have never guessed he had that kind of money.

You going this year?

I'll be there this Saturday. Bringing my dad so he can experience his first Barrett Jackson. I'll try to take a ton of car pics as well and post them.

I've had issues posting pics on my phone with imgur though(it was always my go to). What's another way I can easily post pics from my phone?

Some of my gfs got VIP tickets to the Gala this past weekend. Lots of fb pics of them all dressed up in short cocktail dresses next to nice cars acting like car models.
