I'm guessing you don't have a daughter.

It's against the law for reasons. Two I can think of:

1. An experienced adult (40ish? 50ish?), experienced in seducing/coercing/manipulating/convincing people. She has 17 years of life experience.

2. He's in a position of power. Her teacher, mentor, etc. She is used to following his instructions. She is now flattered that he has an interest in her.

She "allows" him to go too far.

He's the fricking a-hole that put himself in that position, and putting her in a position to say yes or no

1. Sounds like you're making a case not an actual law

2. Sounds like you're making a case not an actual law

"I'm guessing you don't have a daughter" , what does this have anything to do with the law?

"He's the fricking a-hole that put himself in that position, and putting her in a position to say yes or no" , being an a-hole isn't a law.

Those are my assumptions of "why" there is a law against having sex with a student.

Why do you think the law exists?

On the whole female teacher pussy slinging uprising. I agree with both posters in it being a combination of increased sexual aggressiveness and self esteem issues. It's always struck me that the majority of these teachers are meh to ok looking so knowing how shallow high school kids are they probably were not in "The Clique". Recapturing some youth and being one of the cool kids by fricking them seems to be a driving force. It really is odd to me how some women need superficial validation of an esthetic and sexual nature from random dudes of any age even when they have a significant other. It's like they forgot that dudes will stick a dick in any available hole and it says zero about their value to the opposite sex.

I think the ability to communicate via texts and social media has made it much easier for teachers to flirt with students.
