I agree that the reason for his injuries are not a reason to
Protest or be upset about. However, from my experience as an LEO the lack of getting the man medical attention is a reason to be upset.

Clearly they knew where he was tackled and what he hit. Possibly one of the officers taking him down may have also hit the wall with a should or arm or some other extremity. Knowing that the man hit a ledge, he is saying he is hurt, most likely there is a mark on his head, and he is saying he cannot walk. You immediately request medical attention not drag him into the back of a wagon and ship him off.

The reason for his Initial injury I have no problem with. However, how he was treated after being placed into custody is a whole different matter.

I am not aware of what is expected in terms of medical attention by police. I have seen cops on bourbon smoke a guy in the face with a baton for messing with his horse and I can tell you their first action was not to stop his nose from bleeding. Not saying this is what they should do I just am not sure what their responsibility is. Seems a little counter productive to give people so much freedom to use force and then to make them the primary care giver for fixing the damage they just caused. Typically the force is used to place people under arrest.
