So he was tackled into a brick area that caused the trauma that ultimately killed him. In sorry that he's dead, but that's what happens sometimes when you run.

Well if this is true why are they protesting? I would assume nobody would object to police tackling people that are running but I could be wrong. The only video I saw was them simply arresting him, showed nothing that could have caused an injury. I assumed people were protesting because they thought cops ruffed him up after the video.

If all that happened was a guy fleeing the police got tackled and suffered a freak spine injury as a result, then I don't think this is an injustice case, just an accident prompted by the victim's own actions.
But isn't there some dispute about what happened?

Agree sort of, except that people protested for months when Mike Brown roughed up a store clerk and then proceeded to assault an officer before being shot. They'll protest for all kinds of dumb shite.

I read recently that the UK police, since 1900-present day, have killed 69 people total.
Police in the US killed 111 in March 2015.

I'm going to guess that doesn't include Northern Ireland

or bad shite will probably happen
Don't sit on the front of the bus
Don't drink alcohol
Don't tell that British soldier he can't stay at your house
History is littered with people telling others just to obey to prevent bad shite from happening to them.
I really like playing devil's advocate in these threads.

Because
-They have nothing else to do.
-They are angry people who feel they are being held down by the white man.
-They aren't very smart.

All this wouldn't be happening if they just re-opened Hamsterdam

Here is a video from the incident, beware there is some beeped out language so NSFW. It does look like he was injured when they picked him up so it seems that the brick wall that he is lying next to is probably what caused the injury. This is another poor case to protest. If the cops shot him while he was running then I could see the protests, however he was tackled which is completely justified.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF LEGIT CASES OUT THERE WHERE COPS CROSS THE LINE, PICK THE RIGHT CASES TO PROTEST AND YOU WILL GET MORE TRACTION!!!

I'm sure he was just a good boy.
The question I have is why did he take off running when he seen officers approaching?
Maybe he's scared of the police. Smart guy.
Regardless, the police are supposed to protect the public and keep the peace, not treat everyone as criminals and crack skulls whenever possible.

They have to pick these cases to protest.
If they pick a case to protest that everyone agrees with, then they dont get the confrontation they are seeking.
Everyone was pretty much in agreement with the South Carolina Cop shooting that the cop needed to be held responsible and so everyone just moved on from that story rather quickly and quietly.
They choose the stories or incidents that will gain the most traction with the most friction to try and protest over.
ETA: " Mayne, yall a bunch of hatas, letting cops kill black people for no reason and get away wit it. dat cop gotta get whats coming to him"
"i agree completely"
"don't say shite to me, you don't know what its....oh wait, you said you agreed?? well shite, now what?"

People fleeing cops not only endanger themselves but they also endanger the public.

If my family member is running from the police and as a result of them resisting (by running), they get tackled and ultimately die, I would be sad and angry at them (the family member) because they had the ability to prevent it all from happening. This isn't the same as police abusing their power, it sounds like a freak accident.

Also, make it about police overreach (and how it disproportionately impacts the black community), but don't make it about how black people have to live in fear of white people considering the opposite is far more accurate.
