I guess the Baker I am thinking of is considered Zion City north bank.

I pass through Baker a good bit due to work. That place is just a tad below New Orleans East on the sketchy scale

1. Baker
2. Kenner
3. Mandeville
4. Jennings
5. Gonzales
6. Morgan City
7. Slidell
8. Thibodaux
Looks like backgroundchecks.org has been reading the O-T and left out everything north of I-10.

bullshite, I live in New Orleans and haven't been robbed since yesterday. That's gotta put NOLA top 10?!?

I used to work out there.
Although the city looks like it would breed criminal activity to the likes of NBR or NOLA East, it is surprisingly pretty mild.
Most of Baker's crimes are committed by juveniles (burglary, petty theft, vandalism, ect.).
A good portion of the older thugs, 18-24 range, that grow up out there who would normally be responsible for violent crimes in a city that size move out at 18 and head to Baton Rouge.

work there now and agree with this 100%.... it looks like a rough place, with a lot of blight and dilapidation, but i think the overall feel of the people there is just mainly apathetic... too apathetic and lazy to actually even commit crime.... seriously

No way
The racial makeup of the city was 45.97% White, 52.36% African American, 0.28% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 0.99% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population.
