I don't have a clue what the dew point was. I don't doubt it's miserable. I'm not trying to downplay it. It's very possible this summer is hotter than the '04 summer there. I don't know honestly.

I know it felt like when you open the oven to check food. The heatwave just punches you in the face.

I remember many mornings being up between 2-5 am and it was extremely foggy.

Fair enough, who cares? My point still stands. If 159 is a true number, and I don't know that it is, that is seemingly otherworldly...

Even better, I'm drunk, and the heat is going to suck even worse tomorrow. YAY...

Yep. I grew up in Louisiana, and when I stepped off the plane in Qatar mid summer, it was a shock. It was hotter in Afghanistan at times, but I've never experienced heat and humidity like Qatar.

The highest dewpoint temperature I remember seeing at New Orleans International airport ASOS is 81 F. That happens maybe once in three or four years during the summer.

It easily reaches 100 degrees by 6am.

Served in Baghdad twice, Kirkuk once. I don't ever want to go back.

At least here in Afghanistan it rains from time to time.

Arifjan and KNB both sucked balls hot. Especially the humidity at KNB

Q-west was hellish hot at 120+

Riyadh was burst-into-flames hot at 125+

Glad I'm never going back to that oven

one of the things that always amazed me was that people used to fricking walk across deserts over there. I've been to the UAE it's hot as frick. Screw that
