I lost a pear tree and my front doors blew open. On the bright side, I did get to spend some quality time cowering in the bathroom with my puppy for a few moments. I think my whimpering soothed her.

Where is that? I just drove through Southdowns and that area got hit pretty hard, especially the area on the East side of Lee drive (near the Rouzan development). Lots of powerlines down in that area.

There is video of the train being blown off of the bridge. Has that been posted here yet?

Getting pounded again here in the New Roads area. Lines crews had to shut down due to the lightning.

Stay safe! I was at the intersection of College and Perkins about 15 minutes ago and firetrucks were speeding past, looking to be headed in that direction.

Any word on traffic in the BR area? I know the new bridge is closed, trying to gauge how many people will be heading to the Plaquemine Ferry.

In Hammond. A little rain and wind, but nothing crazy. It dissipated around Holden and really stayed south of us.

I kind of thought the same thing. Just reporting what was posted. They did state in some comments on the post that they are waiting for confirmation from the National Weather Service.
