Next week lows are dipping to -7 here and highs near 10-12. Has anyone lived in conditions like this before? It's my first Montana winter...

I never have, but I would like to try it out for a winter at some point. a lot of shite comes along with that like ice fishing, etc. that I think would be a great experience.

I was in Fernie on Thanksgiving, and have their weather saved on my iPhone. Their lows Next week dip to the negative teens; Waterton Lakes -22...

I can't imagine living in the kind of cold that starts causing problems with engines and metals breaking, etc. That's just a whole different ball game. Babe heard y'all have to plug your car into the house at night to keep it warm.

That makes my winter seem downright balmy, and we had a low of 13 today.

Except you only get about 5 hours of sunshine a day and that's on a good day.

I have my ac on.

I like Minnesota in July.

Makes you wonder how the Indians and the early settlers in your northern areas managed, huh?

Keep a sleeping bag in the car. I keep my skiing gear the truck so if I have to spend the night some where I won't freeze to death. Also never leave cases of beer/coke in your car overnight!

I would give anything for a foot of snow here in BR. I love traveling to places that experience extreme winter weather.

Got about a foot of snow in Anchorage today, hell of a lot warmer than it was. Was 0-3 high a couple of days ago, now it's like 15.

This weekend though the lows will be negative and highs around 0.

ETA: Was in Bethel last weekend and low's were around -10 with wind chill like -35...too much
