My son got one about 6 months ago. I love the dog. It is so cool watching it heard our other dogs.
She plays really well with out Lab but tends to not play with the 2 Palmerians because they are boring.
She know the door knob opens the door. I did not have to teach her how to fetch figured out on her own as well as how to get large sticks through the doggie door.
A lot of personality.

My Aussie:
She's very smart. Yes, she has energy and splits her time inside and out. She's been excellent with my three year old son since he was born.

We have a black tri mini. He is extremely smart. But surprisingly, we is quite beta. He hates weather in general. If it is not sunny and 70, he doesn't care to be outside. He was extremely easy to train, whether it be potty train or training for tricks. We had a full size Aussie before but he was much more alpha and wandered. He ended up being poisoned a few years ago.

Do your aussies also do the Head Hug?
Our's did it when she was young, and was funny but so cool.

High motor on them and they can be aggressive in a playful way. The one we had was a rescue so not sure about the behavior if realized from a puppy. Had to be put down cause was "snapping at us" too much as he got older. Sad day

I did for 7 years, Lucy in my avi pic. She was a 10/10. Everything you would ever want in a dog as far as temperament, smarts/trainability, etc... We got her when she was 7 weeks old, took her maybe 2 weeks to be completely potty trained. She was great with my little sisters when they were toddlers. Easily the best dog I've ever owned and my parents who've owned everything from yorkies to labs to poodles to german shepards would say the same. The only time she bit anyone or anything in 7 years was during the kick 6 play when Auburn beat bama, my brother jumped up and screamed right on top of her when the play happened and she freaked and bit him right in the ballsack. It was hilarious. I'm going to get another as soon as I have a more stable situation/time. I miss her so much

No. She sleeps under our bed and is afraid of thunder and fireworks. Has to get in my lap every damn storm. She loves new people and greets them by trying to lick their face even if they're standing. Favorite game is tug a rope. We've probably gone through 50.

Ours does this full body shiver when he gets excited. It is the most odd thing

Lucy was the same way. As soon as she heard thunder she was on me and not leaving. We were thunder buddies.

I have a picture of him sitting on the hospital bed looking somber AF spread eagle wearing what was basically an adult diaper from the bite. One of my all-time fav pics, Im going to post it if I can find it.

Yes, had one growing up. Coincidentally enough, he had a Beagle brother. Very sweet, highly intelligent, easy to train. Be careful with issues with their eyes, hearing, and seizures. Unfortunately, my big guy had seizures and only lived 8 years. Best damn dog I've ever owned and I've owned a lot.

When we were at petsmart for the adoption days, a couple of the aussie fathers were there. All white, and were deaf. But the coolest thing was, they knew sign language.
I was in complete awe, these dogs knew at least 30 words in sign language. And they were just learning. They said deafness in the all white aussies is common.

It is a genetic issue when they breed two merles I believe. They can be deaf and/or blind and they primarily are born all white as you said.
