Half times are mostly about adjustments.

Mound visits are mostly to settle pitcher down or talk about what the plan of attack is for this hitter

1. To calm the pitcher down, stall for bullpen, specific to pitching the next batter but usually just to break the ice.
4. Pitcher waved off every sign, I said under my breath (I thought) " oh boy". Ump asked what was wrong and when I said I have no idea what's coming, I heard "oh shite".

I was against Texas A&M. Think it was 1988 and they were very highly ranked. Chuck Knoblach was one of the stars on that team. Anyway, I'm just a freshman and getting knocked around pretty good. Pitching coach walks to mound for visit and tells me if I give up another rocket off the wall I'm probably gonna have to pay to have it repainted.

Halftime always was a whiteboard, lots of X's and O's, and a whole lot of yelling and arse chewing.

1.

Just asking what is going on. How do you feel? Although I did have my catcher ask me to bean a guy once because the other guy was messing with his girlfriend earlier that day. I obliged, not that I had an amazingly strong arm though. Just enough to leave thread marks!

1. When coaches go to the mound, what exactly are they saying to the pitchers?

Sometimes it's actual strategy, other times it's "your girlfriend is looking pretty good in the bleachers" something to get his mind off the task at hand and lighten him up.

2. What kind of verbal exchanges occur between opposing football players while on the field?

I'll be here all night bitch

3. When players go to the locker rooms at halftime, what is said/done? Is there always a "let's go gettem" speech or do players ever just rest and discuss the next half strategy?

Normally minor tweaks and going over weaknesses you plan to exploit

4. Any funny stories out there concerning any of these questions that you would feel the need to share with a poor little non athlete?

Sorry
