Description:

Writer Gwen Roland builds a houseboat on Louisiana's Atchafalaya Basin, where she has lived for 30 years.

Yes, I know there's a Movie/TV Board, just wondering if anyone knows anything about this. It comes in at 9:30 and is 30 mins long.

Worth recording to watch later?

With DVRs now it's too easy to record something. Go for it!

Yeah I have it set up to record. Just figured I would ask about it to see if anyone was familiar with it or the writer it's about.

It is a great documentary but she didn't live there for 30 years. I think about 5-6.

It was the beginning of CC Lockwoods career and he is as much of the story and phenomenal.

I have spent much time in that exact area and it is an amazing place.

Enjoy.

It is really kind of a sad story but something anyone that is adventurous and lived at that age might go through.

I've watched it before. Pretty good documentary. I wish I could unplug like she did.

It is absolutely worth watching and I would happily watch it again and again.

I admire their sense of adventure, determination and the fact that they did such a cool thing.

You can watch the entire thing on YouTube. They pretty much lived off the land.
