Unless you go back to college age its 4 years ago (48) after 8 months in the Afghan desert. Nothing to do but work and lift. Have not lifted since so I'm back to crap but it was nice for a while.

My upper 20's was mine. Now that I'm in my upper 30's my mind still says UFC, but my body says KFC.

22 when I had the most disposable to spend on supplements, diet and the gym and I was chasing pussy full time..... had to be good looking for the ladies.

Ran a 5k in 25 minutes, benched 265, squatted 405, could drink a case of beer and piss one time and frick all night.

I'm about 40 and it may be now. I've never been in elite shape but have always played basketball about once/week along with lifting weights about twice/week.

In the past 5 years, I've added group exercise classes (mostly BodyPump and BodyAttack), cleaned up my diet a little, and taking Creatine for the 4th time (just for a few months during the winter).

Minor injuries are more frequent now but usually I can google a few exercises that relieve me of the nagging soreness (for example, achilles or hips). These minor injuries have led to more stretching that I continue even after feeling better.

I am almost 50 and I can't run worth a crap anymore but I am still pretty strong.

I would say around 21-25 I was in peak condition along with good strength.

Right now. Besides work and school the only other past time I have is working out. Its the only competition-like thing I have left in my life. If I don't go to the gym I don't feel right that day.

26-28. By 32-33 could see I had peaked, at least for speed and flexibility in athletics. Raw strength did hang around longer though

Considering that I'm stronger now than ever before, I say it depends on the person's desire to be fit/strong.
