I always say it to people.

I never stopped in certain situations.

You don't..... unless of course you're a degenerate pos who's parents didn't know what manners and respect are.

Honestly, it annoys the crap out of me to hear DJ Welter answer every question with "yes, sir."
I don't know why, its just.....idk. He doesn't owe those reporters a damn thing. In fact, their career depends on people like Welter. They should be calling him "sir," quite frankly, and thanking him for taking time out of his evening to talk to them.
Age isn't the only social dimension along which one can show respect.

I never stopped and I am 56 years old. If my kids stop, I would backhand them and they are 34 and 31.

I doubt that very much.

Never. Anyone 20 years older than me will still get it.

Yeah sorta like it annoys me to hear players not be able to speak in complete sentences.
GD some of you are miserable individuals.

it's annoying when people say it more than once or twice in a conversation.

Calling your own parents sir or ma'am is weird as frick imo.
I don't address them as sir or ma'am, but if I'm answering a question or a request, then I use it.
My brothers get really pissed when I call them sir, I like to agitate them.

That is called "false equivalence."

I am perfectly content, thanks. Worry about yourself and don't get so upset about a message board comment.

i'm really only referring to situations where kids (usually) say sir 15 times in 2 minutes talking to their dad, uncle, family friend, etc.

I have never stopped and never will.

if you are a southerner, never

I won't stop. I'm 32 and still do it. I just see it as respectful and polite
