I'll always remember playing soccer with my dad when i was about 10.. He must've been early to mid 40's. The ball came in the air to him and he did a bicycle kick and landed on his back. That was the moment he realized he wasn't young anymore

I'm 34 and I feel fine but I have some friends who are like rickety old men at my age. Chalk one up for semi-good genes, I guess.

Yeah, I'd say right around 30's as well.

That's when I started waking up 4 hours in every night like goddamn clockwork to go piss. And my feet are always sore when I stumble into the bathroom after waking up.

Twice as strong at 63 than I was at 18.
Barely able to bend an erection then with both hands but now able to do it easily with only one.

This. If you give up you're just dead. I've got plenty of reasons to feel like shite and in pain. Not blaming it on the age. But they sure do accumulate...

I turned 40 on a Friday. The following Monday I walked out of my bathroom after showering and stumped my toe on the back of my bathroom door. Broke it and it hurt to wear shoes for about six months. Had been living in that house for six years.

I immediately thought to myself, This is what it's going to be like from now on. I can't even walk through my house without hurting myself.

It's been downhill since then.

I actually quit playing hoops and even softball when I was 37. Was having lots of joint pain. Found out I have Lupus. I got mad about having it and let myself get into really bad shape. After a couple of miserable years I started walking, eating a healthier diet and taking a bunch of vitamins and took back control of my health. It kicked my butt for a couple of years, but has pretty much been dormant since my late 30's.

Early 30's when a sprained ankle = 15-day DL instead a couple days.

Around 30 I noticed things were going to be harder, I got much more sore after lifting. I leaned the hard way that eventually your training needs to focus more on mobility after 30-35.

Instead of just jumping into work sets after a warmup set or two, I do a dynamic warmup for a good 30min. I also have 2 days a week where I just do intense foam rolling and self myofascial release. I firmly believe that SMR and tissue work is life changing for those over 35.

Turned 35 today. Definitely notice that different things hurt now, and i get sore more now after hitting the weights over the last couple years. Gonna be interesting keeping up with my 2 year-old son as he gets older.

About to be 30.
In my experience, it's not so much the years, but the miles. Two bad knees will really get you to feeling it.

played 2 games of basketball today and I'm typing this with ice on my shins.

So yeah, I'm right in the middle of admitting it.

This

I realized yesterday I had next to zero energy to run a fast break after stealing the ball in the open court. I was never a burner but that little pang of realization when I had to slow up and reset the offense was palpable

The ice on every joint was also palpable I turn 28 this month but I have some serious miles on me.
