Other than by that of parents to said children.... when referring to someone who is not ken to you.... where do you draw the line?

I say 9 and under are "children".... then at 10-12 they are adolescents... and 13-17 teenagers..... and 18+ adults...

Media and journos need to stop labeling teens and adults as "children" in their reports.

Jared I don't think that a tigerdroppings informal poll will be admittable as evidence in a trial.

Well we can work in terms like adolescent, post-pubescent, teen, or what ever. But an 11-12 year-old just entering puberty is sure as shite a child to me.

Child and adolescent/teen are very different to me. I identify children as having innocence, meaning no knowledge of drugs, alcohol, sex, violence etc. Teens learn about all that stuff and so they don't act the same as children

i can agree with this... and wouldn't you agree though that someone who is writing an objective article should not use the term "child" to describe a teenager who is not ken to them when their purpose is to be accurate and unbiased?

Again. If we're talking 16 that's one thing. 11-12 yos (and younger) definitely menstruate and definitely get erections. And they're still innocent enough unless they we raised like absolute urchins. I wouldn't beat the shite out of an 11 year old for swinging on me. I wouldn't give one of my younger cousins a sip of beer at that age. I wouldn't cover for them if I caught them smoking. They're still children.

If it's a hot teacher fricking her student, it's like 25yrs old

If it's a criminal defendant, they'll charge them as an adult at like 15

If it's to make a contract, 18

To frick in Louisiana, 17

None of it makes sense
