Time marches on. Most of them are in their 80's - 90's.

If you know one, talk to him.

Mine too. He is 95 years old, and served for 22 months from 1943 through 1944 on the Carrier USS Enterprise.

He turns 88 on the 9th, served in the Navy on Guam, he enlisted at 17. I've always wished I could wear his shoes .....

My grandfather - USMC - died in 1998. He fought the Japs at Peleliu. His brother, Robert, was KIA in France, he was 20 years old.
