Welp, OT, it's been a good few years but now I know where I'll be surfing the web during most of my downtime at work.

As per his cousin on FB, Droop has a broken leg and a head injury but he is conscious and moving. Still in critical condition and they are waiting for specialists to check on other injuries.

Just a local simpleton that likes to ride his bike on the worst and most dangerous roads in the State. I see him twice a day on Hwy 44 and Roddy Road. Always thought it was just a matter of time before some idiot driver wipes him out. Very sad.

I heard he lost his family in a car crash many years ago and since then just decided to bike everywhere he goes.

We also have a lady w/umbrella that walks everywhere in AP.

I almost got him yesterday in the pouring rain down Black Bayou. His sister is way worse about taking up too much road.

Was coming here to post that. She has almost been a hood ornament numerous times at night. No reflectors and rides no less that 2 feet from the edge of the road.

Doesn't he live with his family members? I hear they're a "special" bunch to put it nicely.

Ole baw was always nice and happy looking.

That's where it happened. Drove by right as the ambulance was leaving. Front tire of his bike was off. Didn't realize it was him because it looked like a nice bike. I guess some folks got together and bought him a new one. Hope he's ok.

Didn't know his name but I felt as though I knew him from seeing him on the roads so much.
Prayers for Droop.

There was a 60 something year old man in Dallas that walked around with no shirt. He had the body of a super healthy 30 year old. I used to see him around Lovers Lane and Inwood. There was once an article about him in the paper that said a health club in the Park Cities let him work out. He was a fixture. Sounds like Droop is one too.

You and me both pal.

I haven't heard much out of the bribery story for a while now. I hope the flooding didn't completely frick that investigation up with evidence possibly being destroyed.
