This girl I’ve been dating the past year has frickin broken me down. She’s had a history of OCD/Germaphobia/Anxiety I was unaware of until a few months into relationship.

The verbal, emotional abuse this chick put me through while I was trying to stick by her and help her through it has turned me into a shell of my former self. Threatening suicide all the time. I like to think I’m a mentally strong dude but I underestimated the mind frick that would follow.

I left her the other day, and now she’s telling me “I hope you feel good when I kill myself”

Anybody ever experienced this? Advice?

Just tell her to do it already.

She's craving attention. She won't do it. Just call her bluff, and tell her to frick right off.

Absolute worst case scenario, she does it and is no longer your headache.

Doesn’t not seem like such a bad situation imo

Why would you give the girl more than 3 seconds of your time? Move on

If she wants to get help for her issues, tell her you’ll help her help herself.

Otherwise be honest with her and tell her you ain’t in for an unhealthy relationship.

If you leave her, don’t ever look or go back.

Then that’s it. Direct her to a good counselor if you feel the need.

Yea you’re right. I’ve literally been her caregiver for 12 months, she got to a point where she couldn’t even function.

I had help her just go about her day. It was exhausting. Boyfriend turned therapist.

I have mad respect for caregivers. You literally have to live the disease yourself in order to properly help them.

Her family put this responsibility on me. They’ve been attacking me ever since I left.

Walk away. Sideways for attention, vertical for results.

Being real, I was depressed for a number of years and suicide crossed my mind. But only in a “does anyone care” kind of way. If you have to announce it, you likely aren’t serious about it.

The first time it’s terrifying.

But after it happens enough you realize they are just using it as a threat.

As I’ve told women before, don’t put a gun to my head if you aren’t going to pull the trigger, because i’m Not going to be manipulated by bullshite threats.

Don’t reward bad behaviour

Heard the same story but back when i was like 15. I am not discounting your experience, but this is adolescent level maturity.

OCD/germaphobia/anxiety =/= suicidal ideations. Something else is going on. Either way it has nothing to do with you, but it is getting taken out on you. The sooner you get this person out of your life, the better off you will be. Get out, but if you are super concerned get a 3rd party involved, but either way get out. If you missed anything, get away.

TLDR; run.

I had a girlfriend once that kept me on a leash for awhile with her threats of suicide when I tried to break up with her.I finally left, she didn’t do it.Don’t let her manipulate you.If she does by some chance off herself ,it’s not your fault. She needs professional help-medications.
