Yeh it doesn't seem wise to do that surrounded by military people. I would never know what any of the patches and stripes meant...apparently neither do most of the guys that pull this shite.

as per the old joke about a GIrine picking up a hot chick at a bar in San Juan, gets in a cab to go back to the room, can't wait, starts butt-fuccking in the cab, reaches around and grabs a hand full of balls, "God Damn it!" says the Marine, "what!?!" says the tranny, "right after I come I'm going to beat the shot out of you"

My best friend has been in for 12 years. 6 years of that he has been deployed. Most recently to Africa for the Ebola mess. I see guys here near Benning with all sorts of stuff on their Dress uniforms. My brother was a Ranger and Warrant Officer before he got out. These stolen Valor guys need their assessment beat.

Schofield Barracks is still home to the 25th Infantry Division. The 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 27th Infantry Regiment are subordinate units of the 25th Infantry Division.

Just remember, "US is always right." The rest is almost just like the USMC.

He served honorably. That should have been enough for him.

A few years ago, the SOCNET board caught one of their own posing. He was an actual been there, done that, former Ranger, but that wasn't enough, either. He was claiming to be working as a contractor in Iraq and they traced his IP address to a location in the States. This guy had all the cred he ever needed, but he lied for no reason.

I have a friend that's similar, it's weird that he has accomplished more in his life that many will, in some extremely gifted/talented areas but he kind of does the same thing

:sigh:

My second assignment in Hawaii (assigned to a forward support medical company) I had a similar situation (1993). My platoon sergeant (SFC then 91B now 68W) was wearing a CMB, senior parachutist with combat star and air assault. Also wearing an SF tab. But his combat patch was 3rd ACR (what?) from Desert Storm. Told me he was formerly 10th SFGA and had jumped into Panama with them in 89 (yeah, no). Also told me the MSM he had on his wall from working at a hospital was actually his "cover" assignment for CAG/Delta.

Did some research (long story - wasn't hard) and outed him to my company commander. When confronted he denied it (said his military records had been destroyed in the "fire" at St Louis - common excuse back then). He was court martialed by the 25th ID CG, reduced to E1 and chaptered out (all rather quickly actually). Fortunately for him, no prison time. Threw away his career (12 years TIS at that point) for fake glory. Sad thing is, he actually did have an EFMB and air assault and shortly after being chaptered we received orders for him to receive the CMB (you guessed it) for his time with medical troop of the 3rd ACR.

smh

Yup. Good times. Oldest son (now 21 and a senior in college) was born at Tripler. Good assignment.

You would think these guys would study things a little better and not frick up shite like a proper ribbon rack and not have difficulty answering simple military questions.

Then again, the guys who do this are retards.

This is the one that gets me. He actually has most of his badges, etc in the right places. No glaring errors (except the ranger tab not on his pocket - what?)

But dem ribbons doe.

The other thing that gave him away was his mannerisms, etc. Toothpick in his mouth, sunglasses on his head (and his tie - what the heck is that?).
