The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will recommend opening the Morganza Spillway on Monday if the forecast doesn't change, but no final decision has been made.

Miss River at Red River Landing is supposed to be higher than 62' from 1/16-1/20. Crest is currently forecast at 62.5'. 2011 record was 63.4'. If it stays that high they will have to open both BC and Morganza.

It's crazy to think it could stay very high throughout the winter into the spring if this El Niño pattern keeps going.

Parents are moving everything from their camp near RR Landing. 2011 had 22+ inches.
