Are you wearing green today? Are people commenting on it if you're not?

I get that people do it to be festive, but is it something you go out of your way to do? Do people still care about this?

I was just on the phone with a lady that works for one of our contractors and before we got off the phone she asked me if I was wearing green. I told her no and she said "are you trying to get pinched today, mister?" I said "maybe, are you offering?" She awkward laughed. I awkward laughed and then we said our goodbyes. I think I might have creeped her out. She's not attractive so I don't know why I said that.

Anyway, I didn't even think to wear green today.

Yes, dear Facebook

I'm still in my pjs, and there is no green on them. I have yet to decide if I'll wear anything green today.

ETA: no one has commented because I haven't seen anyone outside of my wife this morning before she left for work.

If anyone says something to me about not wearing green, I usually say I've had the same underwear on all week and there's some green shite in there

I'm not wearing green. I've been asked several times. Nobody has offered to pinch me yet.

I know this isn't why the thread was posted, but the historical background behind 'getting pinched for not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day':

In the 1840s, a bunch of anti-Catholic riots broke out in the US. After one of the riots in 1844, the bishop of New York City, John Hughes, got fed up with this shite and put armed guards outside of his churches. He mainly drew his guards from the newly formed Ancient Order of Hibernians, who wore green regalia. At the next riot, the churches in New York were protected and the mobs were beaten back. Bishop Hughes then walked to the mayor's office and told the mayor, who was sympathetic to the mob, that if another riot occurred 'if a single Catholic Church were burned in New York, the city would become a second Moscow' (referencing the burning of the city during the Napoleonic Wars). Bishop Hughes, who would later become Archbishop, would be nicknamed 'Dagger' and is still honoured by the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Now, however, if you ask someone about the pinching, they'll tell you some bullshite about leprechauns.

Yes, just because our boss is getting us a keg this afternoon for the whole office and he wanted everyone to wear green.

Not trying to be offensive, but do grown men still wear pajamas to bed?
