Looking to get a laptop, I've always gone with HP but am wondering if Toshiba or any of these other brands are good.

I know Macs are good but need Windows.

I've posted questions over there before and gotten one or two answers if that. I figured more people here would have experience with different laptops.

Well if you don't want a Mac, then yes, Toshibas aren't bad. Mine lasted a good while until someone stole it.

ASUS

I have several relatives with Toshibas and they like them. I don't know how they hold up. But as to ASUS, just buy it if you find one with the specs you like. Everything they make is quality as far as I can tell from many purchases over the years.

Asus & Toshiba are some of the best currently.

Dell and HP are some of the worst.

I'm on my second. No complaints at all. The first one just became outdated.

I'm on like a five year old satellite right now. It's held up better than my HPs. One of the buttons in front of the mouse is a little off kilter, but otherwise it's great. I rarely touch my Lenovo hybrid because the Toshiba is just so much easier to use.

I'm on my third or fourth toshiba laptop. Never had any issues with any of them. I buy directly from the toshiba site.
