Are toilet paper engineers screwing with us?

In public restrooms, which are well known to be a single-ply environments, why do toilet paper rolls fit so snugly in their dispensers? It's like I have nothing better to do than cram my hand through the bottom of the dispenser attempting to unroll this spool of 30 grit sandpaper by hand, for the privilege of cleaning my own arse with a clump of quarter sheets of toilet paper. Also, I shouldn't have eaten that burrito yesterday.

They make it difficult for you to pull the toilet paper out so you use less.

ive broken a few of those in frustration. I always have to take a shite at tailgates and usually go drunkingly into stalls that have those damn things. Real question is why aren't robots wiping my arse and jerking me off when I go to use the restroom?

Eliminate the middle man and skip straight to the seat liners. Easily accessible, large and will rip a fissure just as effectively.

Horrible. And the motion sensing paper towel dispensers where you have enough time in between registered hand swipes to go grab a coffee too.
