There's a good one at BR Derm named Whatley.

Patient and thorough. Good luck

Are you saying he retired and then transitioned?

Lots of fringe benefits to working in a Plastics and Derm clinic.

Dermatologists are typically the top 5% of their med school class. Low liability insurance, and typically working office hours.

My dermatologist is male. They say, if you have carcinoma/melanoma concerns, he is the guy to go to. He's been practicing for about 25 years, and is the regional expert on MOHS Micrographic Surgery (basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma removal).

The one I went to as a kid was a guy and about what I figured had to be 137 years old. He remembered a day when girls played half court basketball and had to shoot granny style....true story.

I'm an unlicensed male dermatologist. Just give me a scalpel, lidocaine cream, povidone, and butterfly bandages. I will get a cyst out of your back free of charge.

You know...they were still playing half court girls basketball pretty much everywhere until the early 70s. They played it in high school in some states (Iowa) until the mid-80s.

Why would you want a male to make your clogged pores ejaculate?

What

Every Dermatologist I have ever dealt with has been male.

Are you thinking about estheticians or something?

This statement gets repeated a lot but is not often the case in reality. I think people assume it's true based on the hours, lack of call, and lack of emergent situations.

It’s true according to my male dermatologist, my female MD ex, my male PCP, and my male cardiologist in-law.

Women who have the option of going Derm are more likely to go Derm than men who have the option of going Derm.

Not all will and not all men won’t.

Many choose their specialty based on interest/passion. Many choose based on lifestyle and income potential. Many take whatever they get.
