Are speeding camera tickets like red light camera tickets?

The wonderful city of Gretna mailed me a speeding camera ticket from a few weeks ago. I'm assuming I can just trash this "ticket" that tells me to send my payment to Pheonix, AZ right?

I've never paid the red light tickets and nothing has ever happened. This the same thing?

One day, maybe a few years down the line, you'll get get pulled over. You'll regret your mistake the moment you're handcuffed and sitting in the back of the police car because of a warrant for your arrest. Trust me, don't pay and you will have a warrant out for your arrest.

Then you'll be on here bitchin' about how the cops wronged you, blah, blah, blah.

bullshite. I've thrown the speeding tickets in the trash twice. Had to get my license renewed, and also been issued a warning by a cop and no one said anything. Throw it in the trash and forget about it.

The one exception: if it's from the city of New Orleans go ahead and pay it, because they'll boot your car if they ever run your plate while you're parked there.

That's what I figured.

I've had several red light ones over 5 years and haven't paid a single one. No warrants, bad credit or whatever else they try to threaten you with.

Figured since this gets mailed to Pheonix it's the same deal.

For NOLA residents if you rack up like 10 or 12 of them just pay $100 to gift the car to a spouse if you're married. Get a new license plate, and you're good to go. Won't get a boot put on.
