Are limousine rates inflation proof?

Seems like they've been $90-120 bucks per hour for the past 15-20 years or so.

Supply and demand?

I guess it makes sense if you're referring to actual limos because a lot of people are doing the Suburban/Town Car thing instead of rolling out in some stretch and kids like to do those party buses.

So, I guess that means even if you're referring to the whole segment of chauffeured vehicles, it's boils down to

that is true...I can't remember a time when they weren't pretty much the same price as they are now....trouble is, the overheads (i.e.car, fuel, and labor) have all icreased quite a bit over that time, so the profit is just shrinking...

They are probably regulated by the Public Service Commission. I know they regulate the rates for tow trucks and taxi cabs.
