Are kipping pull-ups good for warm ups?

They obviously suck for building muscle but an excuse I've heard for these lately is that they are a great way to wake up your CNS before working out.
Is true or just bro science?
I'm about to try them out and will get back to wether my CNS was primed or not.
For the uninitiated:

if by warm up you mean tear a labrum, sure

Use all of your lower body momentum to kick and drive yourself barely above the bar then let gravity take you back down and your shoulder joints absorb all of the impact about 75% of the way down making you look like a floundering idiot.
Seems safe and legit to me. Go for it.
Seriously, you want to prime your CNS? Put 100 lbs more than your max squat on the bar and walk out with it and hold it for about 20 secs with your core contracted, then rerack it. Your nervous system will wake up real quick. Then it's time to lift.

I do all my kipping with 2 45s hanging from my belt. Sure it hurts, but you have to tear down muscle to rebuild it, right?

This usually gets my blood flowing before a workout

You should always overload warmup exercises. The best way to mobilize joints is to force them into positions they aren't capable of going into using weights

You guys talk out of your arse. I don't know about warming up with them but they will not tear your labrum if done properly and you are strong enough to properly do them.
Don't be an idiot and you won't get hurt.

Doing them that way is being an idiot. Idiot.
