Are these decent irons for someone who can't really work the ball and only focused on swinging straight? Someone who is happy to shoot 100?

From my research, a lot of articles speak highly. Anyone on here try them out?

Not a super huge Callaway guy but they are definitely GI irons with the 360 cup face technology you do get extra distance and forgiveness. I'd game them if you're wanting to break 100. Good choice.

Also recommend going to a Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith to demo them.

Great irons, forgiving and super long. Callaway is making the best irons right now overall

I demo'd a pair at Dick's and got talked into buying a pair of regular flex. They felt really good and I didn't mind the bulkiness. I say that because my previous irons were stiff flex blades, which I sold to a friend immediately.

Man was I disappointed when I played with them. Talk about erratic and all over the place! After 5 rounds of pure frustration, I pushed them aside and bought some more blades and now life is good again.

What are you looking to spend? I'd be willing to sell you 5-PW at a better price than what you'd find in a store. PM me

99% chance the shaft was the problem and not the irons.

I good bud of mine has them. He's a +100 player. I've hit them a few times and they aren't for me. Very easy off the face and I don't find you get a lot of response or feel from them. I don't think they are really for players looking for feel, more for players looking for something easy to hit.

Don't let me detract from them, it's a quality set of clubs. But I don't think he'd like playing a set of blades, either. It's more of what type of player you are.

There is no PM function on this site

Also, 6-PW, AW, SW is on sale for $420 shipped from Golfsmith. My cost would be $400 after using discounted Raise.com gift cards.

Take them time/money/effort to get fitted with a professional. James over at TCC is the best for many, many miles around. He will fit you for both heads and shafts. Let me know if you want to go over there and check it out. The new practice/fitting facility is world class.

James is a great teacher and a great guy. but for someone only looking to spend 400 dollars on clubs I feel like this is a bit of a reach.

They were still building out the bay and everything last time I was at TCC. it's done and everything? World class seems like a stretch unless they did a ton out there
