Are all small dogs loud as hell and a-holes compared to larger dogs?

Recently got a larger breed of dog and through the first two months I've noticed how quiet he is unless he has to go outside or is playing w/ other dogs. The baw doesn't bark just to do it and if he sees other dogs or people just looks at them attentively, but stays quiet. It's nice.
But every single time I see a dachshund (just an example) or a smaller breed of dog they are loud as frick and bark uncontrollably until we're out of sight.
They also don't seem even remotely friendly when we go to the fenced off/leash off park that my apartment has. There is always some kind of dust up because a larger dog goes somewhat close to a smaller one and the small one will go after the larger dog.
I never really noticed this until I got my dog, but is this a common trend just w/ all dogs? Why would anyone want a smaller dog?

Yes. All small dogs are mean and stupid.
While not all large dogs are chill or smart, all dogs that are chill and smart are large breeds.

Small dogs are retarded due to overbreeding.

I'm not reading all of that, but yes. Yes, they are assholes.

Depends upon how the owner raises them. Exercise, socialization and stimulation play a large role in how well a dog behaves or it doesn't.

Little dogs are nervous POS's that shake, bark and squirt whenever the ice maker rattles 3 rooms away.
Great Danes sleep through a vacuum cleaner in their face.

Small dogs have the ole Napoleonic Complex.
Big Dogs are the best.

I think there are 2 reasons behind this:
1. Smaller dogs feel the need to be aggressive as a defense mechanism for their small size (feel free to draw comparison to the Napoleon complex).
2. Excessive barking and aggression have been bred out of most larger breeds because while little dogs are annoying like this, a large aggressive dog is real trouble.

Small dogs tend to be more territorial and high strung cause their smaller and are easily intimitated. Thats why they are assholes while bigger dogs are often more playful.

I don't even understand why people bother with small dogs.
Taking a chihuahua to the dog park? LOL. Put that thing in a bathtub and let it run around and call it a day.

They're just like most guys that are under 6' tall. Have to be loud and have a bad attitude because bigger people / dogs frighten them

I think this may be true in a few cases, but for the majority of breeds this is back-asswards:
Nervousness and mental instability have been bred into smaller breeds as a by-product of emphasizing bigger eyes or a more pronounced pug nose (to the point of causing respiratory distress and early-onset cataracts/blindness) along with other stupid bullshite just to enhance the cuteness factor...
