its like i'm dealing with the worst used car salespeople ever.

neighbors have told me stories about questionable 'pricing' strategies and other hijinks where they don't fill your tank correctly.

i have called 3 different ones repeatedly to sign up for new service..left at least 10 messages over a 2 week period.

zero response. WTF

Next logical step is to seek propane from a college athletics messageboard. Good call.

Did Cad recently buy a new house? I mean he barely starts any threads about it so it's hard to tell.

I don't know. It's not like he shares every intimate detail with this board so it's hard to tell

first, how can 2 different companies in the same area charge almost $2 less for a gallon of propane?

I've been quoted $3.20 and I've been quoted $1.69

eta and i'm not talking new customer discount or 'locked in' price either.

That's actually illegal, contact the local DA and file a grievance. The law takes propane price gauging very seriously.

nobody has written anything down yet though. i imagine i'd have to wait until they showed up & filled the tank & left behind a bill showing the price to prove anything. thats alot of work.

let me ask you this, why do they need my serial # off the tank? is that something new? i own the tank so its not an issue with being locked in with a different company.

this whole process has seemed dodgy as hell so far.

That serial number thing is very odd, get a quote on paper signed by an employee then go straight to the DA

i'm trying to get propane into my tank..not piss off all the drivers & get blacklisted.

seriously, this process has been way harder than it should be. water & electricity were both turned on after a 45 second phone call.

They need the serial number to know if the tank is current or if it needs to be re-certified (inspected and pressure tested).
