I don't have a tank right now but this was my last setup:
Type: Innovative Marine Nuvo 16 Gallon All in One, saltwater, with the stock LED lighting
Size: 16 gallon rectangle, 24x12x16
Sump: No true sump, just the rear sump attached to the rear of the tank
Location: It was in the living room of my apartment on the West Wall behind my couch
My next set up will be:
Aquarium Type: Likely a Red Sea Reefer 170 Nano Cube, saltwater, with either a Nanobox Duo LED light or AI Hydra 26 LED Light
Size: 24.5x20x20, 34 gallon display tank with 11 gallon sump
Sump: 11 gallon in cabinet sump, protein skimmer chamber with a Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer, return chamber, dual media reactors with Bulk Reef Supply ROX carbon and BRS High Capacity GFO, 2 filter socks, bubble trap sponge, maybe a small refugium or marine pure block if I have room, 550 GPH return pump
Location: Not sure, depends on what the layout of my new place is

But do you have goldfish
I found a really sweet rock that's super smooth if you want it for your fish house

Too much upkeep?
Never under stood why people sell their entire setups. Go to Craigslist and you see people selling everything as one. I can understand selling off individual parts, but the whole thing? Takes away the appeal of starting your own setup. I wonder how many of these listing actually sell. Most of them are crappy setups priced too high

Aquariums are trashy.

They absolutely can be if your setup sucks, your tank is stocked wrong, your aqua scaping sucks, or your stand is ugly
I've seen some bad setups. Most of the ones on Craigslist are ugly setups

Nugget are there aquariums where you don't keep fish and just slowly and patiently grow a coral or plants
I'd be interested in one of these for the far side of my office opposite my desk and chairs in front
Would I need a pump and shite that makes noise?

I felt the same way about freshwater tanks. It's why I moved to saltwater, I only had my saltwater setup for 8 months before I had to get rid of it when I moved so I feel I didn't really get into the meat of the hobby
