Do they charge extra rent if you have a wife? You should just introduce the dog as your wife. I mean we're letting gays marry nowadays so why not?

Because they assume the longer you stay there, the more likely it is they're going to have damage from the dog to repair....chewed up baseboards, blinds, new carpet.

Real talk though, if we rent our place whenever we move instead of selling, there is no chance I will allow a pet owner to move in. The wear and tear on the house, especially with a non responsible owner is absolutely more hassle and money than you will possibly recoup.
