Paging Napoleon
Woke up this morning to refrigerator not cooling. Freezer or icebox. Light comes on but nothing running. GE model GTS221BMAR. Is there a something I can try before getting tech out or replacing? TIA. I unplugged it for a bit and plugged back in but no luck.

What's up Holmes?
I'm in the same freaking boat, but mine started a few days ago and it is cooling a little bit, just not very good. I put a thermometer in there and its blowing about 45-50 degrees. That ain't gonna cut it.
The weird thing is is that this started after a few days after I pulled my refrigerator out and dusted underneath and cleaned the inside. That seems like a huge coincidence if its not related.
I guess I'll just call a local repair tech and hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Well damn, that sucks. I guess it's still better than paying $1500 for a new one.

Well, I discovered that my evaporator coil was frozen solid. Defrosted it with a hair dryer and powered the unit back up and hoping for the best.
Fingers crossed tight!

I bought a new one. Mine was like 13 yrs old. I will figure out what is wrong and keep it.
