Just came across this. Find it interesting, so I'm going to give it a try.

It works as a personal assistant that you just text things to. Not sure I'm going to link my card to it just yet. But if anyone has experience with it I'd like to here what they have to say.

GoButler Website

Oh and it's completely free they say.

Not being a pretentious arse, but is this any better than the concierge services from the higher end cards--like The Platinum Card (AMEX) or Barclay's "Black Card" or Citi's Prestige?

Yes because it's free and you don't need a AMEX LOC.

If it's free it can't be that good.

To me it just doesn't seem like it'd fill a void. I rarely want someone to make me a blind reservation or order me food from an unspecified place. And while I'm sure you can probably add detail, texting shite like that seems like a hassle.

Then again, while I use my phone a lot, I'd much prefer to email than text a lot of times and don't like browsing on my phone if a computer is handy.

I was pretty solid with the thumbs back in blackberry days, but now I'm just so-so. Also a reason why despite trying like 6 tablets they rarely make it into my rotation unless I'm traveling.

I'm not sure if I'd use it regularly either. But I imagine it would be of use at some points in time.

Ha I saw it from that too. On the waitlist for it. It's free and sounds pretty cool. I could see myself getting some use out of it. Curious as to where they will draw the line. For instance, if I say find me the best happy hour bar with outside seating near me, wonder if that's to much work on there part or if that's one of the intended purposes
