It is not my thing but different people like different shite. I also don't understand how people pay money to go the theater and watch make believe/superhero/fantasy type movies.

Essentially the WWE is just another fantasy type movie except their shows are live.

Let me guess, you are a fan of manly men shows like True Detective, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad. I hate to ruin it for you, but wait for, make sure you are sitting down, here it comes, don't say I didn't warn you, those shows are fake and scripted too

It's a nostalgia/good memories thing for me. Back when I was a kid, in the very early days of WWF and when Midsouth Wrestling ruled this area, my dad used to take me to wrestling shows.

Come on man. You know you talk about Duck Dynasty and all that other crap on Facebook or at work. You gossip about your shows just as much as guys gossip about wrestling. Maybe some of us have kids who watch it, so in order to build a stronger bond with them, we watch it as well. It takes us back to the days when our father watched with us.

Yes. I was so so glad when my son stopped watching that shite many years ago. That along with wiping his own arse were great achievements.

No, not at all. It's called World Wrestling Entertainment. Entertainment.

Some people find it entertaining, so they watch, they talk about it, and they even go to the events.

I'm sure you do something that another person in this thread would have the same opinion. I still play video games, and I'm 30. But other men watching wrestling doesn't bother me either.

Guess you think the same about lap dances. It's just fantasy. Make believe.

Why would people spend good money for lap dances??? It's not like those girls really like you and are going home with you. Smh

IE. most entertainment is about escapism, not reality.

I have no problem with it.... Its funny as crap... I wont go out of my way to watch it but if I am flipping channels and come across it I will stayed tuned for a bit...I will say though that any grown man that wastes 50 bucks or whatever it is to watch A ppv is a bit overboard....

Well it's not wasting to the person who paid for it. And they didn't pay with your money, so it's not wasting your money either.

Wrestling is definitely not my thing but you start all those MMA threads on the MSB. That is just about the same thing (I am an MMA fan for the record).

A lot of wrestling fans are into both, not surprisingly. I haven't watched wrestling in years, but I tagged along with my buddy to a live event about a month ago and it was pretty fun. Those fricking guys will do some crazy shite. Couldn't believe no bones were broken.

A "Facebook friend" of mine posts pics of family trips for wrestling. Including New Orleans this weekend. Feel bad for them and hope my son doesn't get into it.

Cannot imagine what the wrasslin' crowd is like under the influence of the quarter.

No more than grown women watching soap operas, or grown adults watching movies. It's all fake. My son is 9 and a huge wwe fan, so we were at Mania last night and I'm 32 and still enjoyed the hell out of it.

I went to Wrestlemania last night. From an entertainment and production stand point it was excellent. Glad my son wanted to go, I had a nice time. Fake, scripted it is, but those guys are athletes and some of them are pretty good entertainers.

I was there too and agree with all this....

but the guys there being as dramatic as my kids...that was a little disturbing to me.

I act that way towards football...but thats not scripted.
