Was an excellent place. I talked to the owner at one point many years ago. He was looking to expand to the next lot nearby (this was over 10 years ago) to have more of a dining in type of place. I believe he went to Iraq or somewhere else overseas. But ended up selling the location to a wing place.

Chicken was great and the biscuits were good. I think that the owners name was Joby or something like that, pretty sure that he was Army or Marines. He ran into a problem finding good help. If he was working it was awesome, when he wasn't it blew. I went one night around 8:00pm and saw shadows moving inside, but the workers refused to come to the window and take my order. It closed shortly after that. He had mentioned one night that it was damn near impossible to find reliable help to work that location.

Used to live in the Summer Grove development and would go there many a times after drinking.

That chicken was out of this world, and he had this bbq sauce that I still long for today.

Why did they close up shop? I think he put an end to the robberies when he started carrying.

He should have gotten some investment capital and moved to a different location.

Yes but you're not selling chicken at traction.

Yep. It was many years ago so the details may not be 100% accurate, but one time while placing our order we asked him how he came up with the name. He said he was deployed somewhere, and he and a military buddy were talking about what they were going to do when they go home. He replied that he'd probably "sell some fricken chicken".... so he did just that.

ETA: That chicken was fricking amazing too.

I think him being gone overseas was the deciding factor not security.

If he was there running it, he could ensure a steady stream of business and could even hire a security company from 6-8pm or something like that if needed.

The police substation about 300 yards away helped with the crime immensely in that area. Murder rate dropped 85% in first two years it was there and even lower now.

I can’t remember the owner’s name. But he was a nice guy with big dreams. I put the kitchen hood fire suppression system in there.
