Thanks ahead of time but I work in an oil related field and I'm barely scratching by. I need to find a second job and I'm tired of filling out a long arse resume then seeing that I need to spend x amount of dollars to use this resume. Can anyone help?

If you have Microsoft Word, there are probably several professional and basic templates you can fill out that will automatically create a resume for you.

Best of luck in the job search bud.

Just create one in microsoft word. Pull up an example of one on the web and try as best as possible to make yours look like that

Always include a glamour shot photo of yourself. I would suggest paying a professional for this as first impressions mean everything.

Nobody even uses word any more.

Create an indeed account or a plaintext one.

Most companies have you applying online.

Of course, you might not be getting jobs opportunities bc you are lazy and a bit stupid.

Where the hell are you putting together resumes that ask for how ever many dollars? You don't even need shite word processing like word, Google docs is free.

Maybe you - and not your resume - are the problem.

Google resume templates, make your own, reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn to look it over and suggest improvements (and help you find a job that fits your resume).

Why be that much of an a-hole? The dude asked an honest question....at least be funny if you're gonna go down Dickhead Street.

Check out fiverr

Obviously not free, but it'll be very inexpensive. Most basic things done on there are $5. Love that website.

I'm 42 and I've had the same job for a long time and I make good money but things are slow right now. I'm not computer savvy which is why I am asking for help. I appreciate all of the positive responses.

Check if your local community college or local government has a career center. They may have some namby-paint creative arts major there who can help you write one.

There are templates online if you Google them and look at Google image results. Once you have something rough put together, get someone to help you tweak it if you know someone who can do that.

If not, send it over. I help people with resumes.

No prob. I just find a lot of people are lazy and like to complain.

But if you are serious about working, then don't pay for a resume. But if you put money out, pay from some search engine optimization on it.

People don't even look at resumes if a database rejects it. For example, dice and indeed look for different things. Pay someone to do that to yours.

Good luck, man.

Resume genius has them for $2-3. But you can make one for free in Word like the others have already said.
