Never been divorced but a co-worker said you will never be rid of the bitch untill your dead when you have children.

That would be miserable.

I went through one three years ago and thought it was going to kill me because I didn't want it. I took that time to re-evaluate my life and who I was and fought for my kids like a mad man. Friends, family, and church helped a TON. Just live right, do right, and things will work out.

BTW, my boys live with me now and I'm married to the woman of my dreams so I'd like to think that something I did was right.

100% accurate

I divorced a little over 3 years ago. Emotionally, I was over the relationship years prior. I only stayed because we had a child. I finally realized I could still be a good father without being with his mother.
Once I came to realize that, it was done and very quickly.

Everyone is different. For me, I went and got some strange the day I moved out and never looked back.
She and I were able to keep the peace. It was really pretty easy for me because I honestly didn't care.

The only real problem is that she hasn't gone away. I still have to talk to her every couple of days and see her constantly. I still have to deal with her laziness and stupidity to a certain degree. There's nothing I can do about it. However, it's worth dealing with her because I have my kid about 65% of the time.
Take the bad with the good. I've got a great relationship with my kid. I'm now engaged again to a woman who has made me happier than I have ever been and she too has a great relationship with my kid.

Life is good, it's up to you to make the most of your situation. It's not going to be easy, but you will be fine. Keep your head on straight and go live your life. Do what makes you happy.

What a strange bump.

But since you did...

It was more of I wanted sex and she didn't. There were underlying emotional issues from her past that I should have realized were going to come up later.

When we first started dating we had awesome sex. Crazy sex. We were both like horny teenagers and it was really beautiful and I fell in love with that girl.

Time and marriage and changes in us and children and work just started to eat away at our relationship and we lost that magic. And I was too blind to see what was going on. I worked all the time and drank when I wasn't to fill the void of not being loved at home.

But I understand where she was. And now...I don't entirely blame her. We're all people with needs. And when someone's aren't being met...well, if she hadn't stepped out, eventually I would have.

We just stopped being good for each other and were in a maelstrom of misery that was killing us both slowly. I was so depressed that last year.

Free...so depressed that last year you what?

I am going to say time helped because I am sure that is the right answer. However, slaying strange doesn't not help.

That I was really depressed and had depressing thoughts and did depressing things.

It's not grammatically incorrect.

I'm better now. Thanks for asking.

How old was your kid when the split happened? I would think having a child around 5-6 would be the hardest thing to explain.
