So I went to the dentist Monday to get a filling. The tooth wouldn't numb though, and she wasn't able to complete it due to the pain. She suggested getting sedated for it. Anyone ever had that done? How did it go? If the tooth doesn't numb again, is it going to hurt still? She said she uses versed along with something else, don't remember though.

My uncle has to do it every time he gets something done. It's no big deal, just make sure to have a ride. they cant put you in an Uber or cab.

My kids have had it. The pediatric dentist uses a syrup oral solution, knocks them on their arse. They are just really loopy and silly and don't remember shite. No pain.
I've had versed just before surgeries before. LOVELY.

Do it.

I had it done for a root canal when I broke a tooth. I just remember feeling super relaxed and it seemed like I was only in the chair for 5 minutes.

I hate going to the dentist, too, so I'd say it worked well.

Yes, it's called oral surgery. Ever heard of wisdom teeth removal? Most people are sedated for it.

That doesn't sound too bad. Really like that it seems to go by fast like that. When I went the other day, she tried numbing it several times, and I ended up back there for about four hours. It was real annoying being there for so long. I'm just worried it will be similar and will hurt while she's doing it.

I wasn't when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, but it seemed to be relatively simple. The dentist I went to then just pulled them. After his assistant numbed them, he just came and pulled them, took about 15 minutes total.

I hope not. My brother had a problem with waking up from surgery when he was little. Have always been leery of things like this since.

you quoted my user name, doesn't that answer your question...are you sedated at the moment, do you need someone to call you a cab or order an Uber?

Depends if they're impacted or not. My top two came in fine, but the bottom two were impacted and had to be cut out. So they knocked me out.
